Infinity Building Services Selected to Build First Port of Subs Location in Greater Washington

- Commercial General Contractor Brings Restaurant, Retail and Multi-Location Experience to Port of Subs' Regional Expansion -

August 31, 2026

Bowie, Md. – Infinity Building Services, a commercial general contractor serving Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia, today announced that it has been selected to build the first Port of Subs location in Greater Washington. The new restaurant, located at Towne Centre at Laurel in Laurel, Maryland, represents the first step in franchisee Bryan Denson’s plans to bring the established sandwich brand to communities throughout the region.

Denson, a retired Air Force intelligence officer, entered into a record-setting franchise development agreement with Port of Subs to develop as many as 70 locations across Greater Washington. After evaluating opportunities throughout the market, Denson selected an approximately 1,500-square-foot former retail space at the Harris Teeter-anchored Towne Centre at Laurel for his first restaurant. Infinity is managing the commercial buildout of the space as the project moves toward completion.

The Laurel location carries particular importance because it establishes the starting point for a potentially significant regional rollout. Denson has indicated that he intends to get the first restaurant firmly established, apply what is learned there to subsequent locations and then continue expanding into surrounding markets. Potential future areas include Arundel Mills, Bowie, Columbia and Hanover, with Northern Virginia also part of the broader development territory.

Launching Port of Subs in Greater Washington is an important milestone for us, and choosing the right partners for this first location was a critical part of the process,” said Bryan Denson, Port of Subs franchisee. “Infinity understands restaurant construction, but just as importantly, their team understands the business behind the project. They communicate clearly, stay engaged and approach decisions with the larger goal in mind. As we establish Port of Subs here and prepare for future growth, that kind of partnership is extremely valuable.”

Infinity was selected in part for its experience delivering restaurant, retail and hospitality projects, along with its ability to manage schedule-driven construction in existing commercial environments. The company’s broader portfolio includes projects throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia, with particular experience in environments where opening dates, operational requirements and brand standards directly influence construction decisions.

Restaurant construction requires close coordination across building systems, kitchen equipment, utilities, finishes, life-safety requirements, subcontractors and brand specifications. For operators planning multiple locations, the first project can also establish important processes and lessons that carry forward into future builds. Infinity’s approach emphasizes clear budgets and timelines, proactive problem-solving, responsive communication and accountability from preconstruction through completion. Those principles reflect the company’s broader focus on serving franchisees and business owners executing repeatable build programs.

“This first Port of Subs location represents much more than the buildout of a restaurant,” said Adam White, president of Infinity Building Services. “Bryan is establishing a new brand in this market with plans to grow, so the decisions we make together in Laurel have implications beyond this one space. Our job is to understand the operational goals behind the construction, communicate clearly, solve issues before they become delays and deliver a finished environment that reflects the Port of Subs brand. That’s how we approach restaurant and hospitality work, especially when we’re supporting clients who are building toward something larger.”

The Port of Subs project is particularly aligned with Infinity’s experience supporting independent business owners, franchisees and multi-location operators. The company views construction as part of a client’s larger business plan, where every opening is connected to revenue, operations, customer experience and future growth. Infinity’s process is designed around the speed, accuracy and predictability required in restaurant, retail and hospitality environments, while maintaining craftsmanship consistent with the brands its clients bring to market.

For Denson, the Laurel opening follows an extensive search for the right first location. An earlier opportunity in Rosslyn was ultimately passed over because of the time, expense, size and logistical challenges associated with the space. Laurel offered a more appropriate footprint and placed the restaurant in a community Denson knows well through his previous national security career and proximity to Fort Meade.

Port of Subs, founded in 1972, is expanding nationally following its acquisition by Area 15 Ventures LLC. The company’s Greater Washington development agreement is part of that broader growth initiative. Denson has said his immediate priority is successfully establishing the Laurel restaurant before applying what the team learns there to the next location and those that follow.

Infinity expects construction on the Laurel Port of Subs location to be completed in fall 2026.
