Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is the company’s representative managing construction activities, ownerships, and subcontractors on multiple projects simultaneously. In addition, they will be a mentor to other project managers and team members providing structure, developing objectives, goals, and assigning responsibilities.  They participate in the preconstruction and bidding process, provide constructability, schedule, and process input.  Quality control, safety, scheduling, communication, and pride in the administration are the key qualities required of a Senior Project Manager. We are looking for an individual that excels in this arena and who wishes to join a firm with an outstanding reputation in the marketplace. Our projects include restaurant, retail, hospitality, educational, medical, base building, and interiors. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager is preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects and scopes.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, subcontractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
• Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
• Minimize company exposure and risk on each project.
• Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
• Mentor project managers and other team members to support growth and development within the organization.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, clients, and professionally represent the owner or developer.
• Ensure all paperwork and required documentation is completed in a timely fashion.
• Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for the project.
• Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization.
• Manage the project budget and schedule the project in logical steps to meet deadlines.
• Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
• Conduct weekly progress meetings.
• Enforce the company safety program in accordance with the company’s best practice policies, local, state, and federal laws.
• Maintain existing relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, etc. as necessary to ensure future business opportunities.

Job Requirements:

• Five years preferred of Senior Project Management experience in commercial general contracting or similar industry.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects such as restaurant, retail, educational, medical, or base building is preferred.
• Experience managing projects valued at $50,000.00 – $25,000,000.00
• Comfortable using technology, including smart phones, tablets, and computers.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Experience with Procore management software a strong plus.
