Project Superintendent
Project Superintendent Position for Commercial General Contractor
Infinity Building Services, Inc. is a commercial general contractor based in Bowie, MD seeking to expand its current operation with a professional Project Superintendent for restaurant, retail, hospitality, medical, education, and office projects in Maryland, DC, Northern VA.
The Project Superintendent is the company’s on-site representative managing all construction activities, ownership, and subcontractor coordination. Quality control, safety, scheduling, communication, and pride in finished products are key qualities that superintendents at Infinity must possess. We are looking for individuals that excel in this arena and wish to join a firm with an outstanding reputation in the marketplace. Our project types include restaurant, retail, hand developed scopes of work, base building, healthcare, education, and construction management.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent is required. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage communication between client/subcontractors & project managers.
- Manage multiple subcontractors throughout project.
- Ensure project safety and that all OSHA guidelines are followed.
- Maintain a clean work site.
- Assist in development and management of project schedule.
- Ensure overall quality of work and conformance to specifications.
- Build professional rapport with subcontractors.
- Manage close-out tasks, punch-lists & as-built drawings.
- Attend/contribute to weekly progress meetings.
Job Requirements
- 5 years (minimum) of superintendent experience in commercial general contracting or similar industry.
- Experience managing commercial construction projects; restaurant, big box retail, grocery, healthcare, education, or base building is preferred.
- Experience managing $50,000 – $15 million dollar projects.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage subcontractors and maintain schedules.
- Comfortable using technology, including smart phones and computers.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
- Competency with Procore management software is a strong plus.
